Nissan recently brought out their Nismo Leaf RC Concept to Cars and Coffee Irvine. For me, I'm still not used to hearing the word electric race car just yet, but this idea is not totally new. Drayson Racing has already been working on Formula-E cars for some time and are way ahead of Nissan on e-racing.

It's great to see that Nissan has had this concept out for a couple years. It's likely that they wont be racing in this Leaf anytime soon. The car is just not ready. But you need to start somewhere.
